Typhoon Haiyan affects 9.5 million people

  

Super typhoon Haiyan that lashed the Philippines, affected as many as 9.5 million people, a new report from the United Nations said.

The list of victims of the deadly disaster includes at least 10,000 names. Rescuers continue to search for victims.

The tropical storm appeared to be the most powerful one in the recent 100 years. The territories, affected by the typhoon, were turned into ruins.

From 100 to 300 Russian tourists could find themselves in the disaster-stricken zone.

The Russian EMERCOM arranged a special telephone line for relatives to find out information about the Russian tourists who became hostages of the natural disaster in the Philippines: 8 ( 800) 775-17-17.

Moving at the speed of 150 kilometers per hour, the typhoon is moving towards China and Vietnam. Large-scale evacuations are being conducted; six people were reported dead, dozens were wounded.
