Another technical incident in Moscow metro paralyzes traffic

The administration of the Moscow subway system apologized to passengers after a new incident that occurred on Tuesday morning, June 11th. Eleven people suffered as a result of the incident, two of them were hospitalized. 

According to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, at around 8:20 a.m., a spontaneous disconnection of power supply occurred on the section of the gray line between Serpukhovskaya and Tulskaya stations of the Moscow metro. The incident led to a long delay in the movement of two trains in the passage between the two stations.

Traffic was also interrupted between Borovickaya and Nagatinskaya stations. As many as eleven passengers turned to medical assistance; two of them were hospitalized. According to medics, the people suffered from neurotic reactions and hypertensive crisis.
