Russia and China signed a major contract for the purchase of 24 multipurpose Su-35 fighter aircraft.
The contract is said to be evaluated at $2 billion. The general director of Rostech state corporation, Sergei Chemezov, said that the long negotiations for the supplies of Sukhoi 35 to China have been completed, and the contract has been signed.
The Chinese Air Force will receive 24 fighter aircraft, worth about $ 2 billion (about $83 million per aircraft).
On Wednesday, at a meeting of the intergovernmental commission on military and technical cooperation, Russia and China identified priority areas of defense cooperation. In particular, the parties expressed interest in expanding cooperation in the field of aircraft engines.
