Gennady Onishchenko, Russia's Chief Sanitary Doctor, said that Russia may again ban the imports of wine from Moldova, as it previously happened in 2006.

According to the Chief Medical Officer of Russia, specialists of the department have found four batches of low-quality products recently, 28,000 liters in total.

Onishchenko said that Moldova was not in a hurry to solve systemic problems related to the quality of alcohol. Moreover, he added, Moldovan officials refuse to discuss the issue with Russian officials.
