McDonald's abandons most expensive burger

McDonald's franchise has decided to abandon the Angus burger sold in the United States due to lower demand on the product. Angus was available at McDonald's restaurant for  $4, according to Bloomberg.

According to spokespeople for the restaurant chain, the popularity of one of the most expensive products of McDonald's fell after the appearance of the "dollar menu", in which one can buy a cheeseburger at about one dollar. Buyers allegedly prefer several cheap sandwiches instead of one expensive burger.

In April, the global profit of the franchise fell by 0.6 percent. A representative of McDonald's said that the menu would include new dishes, but it was not specified which dishes exactly. In addition to Angus, the franchise will stop selling a few more dishes in the U.S., including fruit salad.
