Aviation Capital Group, one of the top 5 aircraft leasing enterprises in the world, has ordered 17 next-generation 737 airplanes worth of more than $1 billion.
The Boeing Company (NYSE: BA, TYO: 7661), the major aerospace and defense corporation, is going to provide Aviation Capital with new planes equipped with "Blended Winglets" which improve the efficiency of fixed-wing aircraft. They also reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 4 percent.
In addition to 17 new planes, Aviation Capital Group has ordered 81 Boeing planes.
