IAMAW ratifies collective bargaining agreement connected with US Airways Group Inc

The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers has sanctioned a collective bargaining agreement related to employees at US Airways Group Inc.

The agreement collected 65% of membership votes.

The agreement provides higher wages, a sound pension and enhanced job security for 3,300 mechanics and other workers.

The agreement will be effective through Dec. 31, 2011.
