Northwest Airlines continues talks with Delta Air Lines
It was revealed on Friday that Northwest Airlines Corp and Delta Air Lines Inc were planning to continue negotiations over their merger.
Northwest and its SkyTeam alliance partner Delta Air Lines have declined to comment officially, but inside sources have hinted that a merger is indeed on the fast track.
The possible deal is thought to be signed in order to create the world's largest airline, thus it may raise a wave of consolidation in the industry.
