ValueClick Inc ordered to pay 2.9 million dollars for fraud

ValueClick (NASDAQ: VCLK), an online advertising company, was ordered to pay $2.9 million for fraud and violation of federal law.

Federal Trade Commission accused ValueClick of false advertising claims and e-mails booming free gifts and of failing to secure consumers financial information.

In addition to compensation ValueClick has to reveal the costs and obligations required to receive “free” products.
