Russian rescue workers to aid Iran

Two airplanes of the Ministry for Extreme Situations of Russia arrived to Iran on Saturday morning. Russian rescue team will provide medical help for those who had suffered severe consequences of the earthquake in the Kerman province in Iran, reports RIA “Novosti”.

Russian rescue team brought two mobile hospitals with them. The hospitals will be placed in the city of Bam, where about 90% of all buildings have been destroyed. Russian team includes cynologists with six specially trained dogs. They are meant to recover people from under the rubble. 
The deadly earthquake took place on December 26. Magnetite of some jolts in the city of Bam have reached 6.3 on the Richter scale. According to the Russian Ministry for Extreme Situations, a number of killed people has risen to 20,000. At the same time, a representative from Kernan's hospital has stated to RIA “Novosti” that 30,000 more people have died in the province.
Iranian government has addressed the nations with a plea to aid the city with liquidating all the consequences of the earthquake.
