In Syria, USA takes al-Qaeda's side

In response to al-Qaida leader Ayman al-Zawahiri's appeal to create a Sunni Islamic state in Syria, the Syrian influential group Jabhat al-Nusra swore allegiance to him. The leader of the Iraqi branch of Al-Qaeda, who took patronage over al-Nusra, confirmed the news as well. Islamists' positions have thus strengthened even more.

On Sunday, April 7, Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri, the right hand of Osama bin Laden and his successor, called for the establishment of an Islamic state in the Sunni Syria. "Let your fight be in the name of Allah to establish the Sharia of Allah as the dominant system. Do whatever you can to make your holy war take you to the creation of Islamic Jihadist state," Zawahri said in a video posted on the website of Middle East Online. On Tuesday, the leader of al-Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, said that Jabhat al-Nusra (Victory Front) was its branch in Syria.

Some time later, the leader of al-Nusra, nicknamed Abu Muhammad al-Julani, swore allegiance to Zawahiri in a video appearance. Julani admitted that he fought under the banner of the Iraqi division of Al-Qaeda in Iraq, and that he was proud to combine the two flags (the one of his own and the flag of the Iraqi al-Qaeda) in Syria. Thus, the influential al-Nusra dissociated itself from the Syrian Free Army (FSA). The army enjoys the support of the West and unites all the terrorists who fight against the legitimate government of Bashar al-Assad.

However, the Iraqi intelligence has long linked the Syrian militants of Al-Nusra -up to 12,000 people - with the local cell of Al-Qaeda in terms of the style of the struggle (they use suicide bombers) and on the methods of manufacture of improvised explosive devices. In addition, extremist Arab media channels, since the very beginning of the conflict in Syria, have repeatedly called for "the unification of Arab Sunnis in Iraq and Syria." They also advocated the creation of three countries on its territory - for the Sunnis, the Druze, the Alawite (Shiite) and the Kurds.

Gerhard Schindler, the head of Germany's Federal Intelligence Service (BND), acknowledged the influence of Al-Qaeda too. "The opponents of the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad increasingly come under the influence of terrorists linked to Al-Qaeda terrorist network," Schindler said in an interview with Bild. The United States recognized al-Nusra as a terrorist organization as well. It is thus clear that the Syrian people come across foreign mercenaries fighting terrorist methods, rather than a popular movement that fights for changes.

As long as it is clear for all, how can one explain the ongoing attempts of the West to help its enemies - those who blew up the twin towers and fight against the West around the world? Britain and France are about to start the deliveries of assault weapons to terrorists. The United States announced the allocation of $60 million for the Syrian opposition and the preparation of mercenaries in Jordan. Does the American elite realize that the destruction of legitimate governments in the Middle East leads to the growth of the cancer of extremism?

Al-Qaeda has revived in Iraq as soon as U.S. troops were withdrawn from the country. The same is going to happen to the Taliban in Afghanistan, where there is a real danger for Pakistan and then India to be drawn into the conflict. If it happens, the world will wake up one day standing on the brink of a nuclear war.

Noteworthy, en-Nusra did not exist until the beginning of 2012. Today, it is the most influential group in Syria. As a result, al-Qaeda has come to Syria and is not going to leave if the secular regime is not preserved in the country. Great Caliphate, the biggest dream for Saudi Arabia and Qatar, is on the eve of its creation.

Is it necessary to realize mistakes and help Assad keep the secular regime? The answer is no. "If the administration wants good results in Syria, then maybe one needs to help this administration so that the good guys win. Or alternatively, it will see Al-Qaeda in the heart of the Arab world," The Wall Street Journal wrote on April 10.

As it turns out, one needs to urgently deploy troops to get rid of President Assad, given the fact that the war machine is already running. The Washington Post wrote on Wednesday that Washington ordered to speed up the training of about 3,000 officers for so-called rebel forces (good terrorists?).

In addition, Jordan demanded the creation of buffer zones on the border with Syria. Such actions require massive U.S. intervention, including the bombing of Syrian air defense, communications and other objects - the Libyan scenario that is.

A statement from Avigdor Lieberman, the political leader of "Our Home - Israel," is indicative in this sense. In his view, vital national interests of Israel are under threat due to the presence of Al-Qaeda in Syria. According to him, it happens so due to Washington's "negligence," which does not launch direct intervention in Syria.

It can be concluded that Jihadist formations in Syria that received the lion's share of weapons and aid from the Wahhabi Saudi Arabia, coordinate their actions with the CIA and undergo training in military camps in Turkey and Jordan. This situation has created yet another cause for direct intervention of the West. Due to its strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Israel, the West is blind.
