Another fatality claimed in speaking out against Bush

Garry Trudeau's long time running cartoon series “Doonesbury” which takes a critical look at politics is the latest fatality in the war against people speaking out about George Bush.
Continental Features President Van Wilkerson, said about Doonesbury, "[it] created more controversy than other strips."

Executive Editor Troy Turner of The Anniston (Ala.) Star, said “saying the decision amounted to censorship”.

Star Publisher H. Brandt Ayers wrote a strongly worded letter to Van Wilkerson and said that he [Ayers] "strongly object to an obviously political effort to silence a minority point of view. For years, my New Deal father bore the opposition views of Orphan Annie and Daddy Warbucks, and I believe he would have fought an effort to silence them a by a simple majority vote. This is wrong, offensive to First Amendment freedoms."

This writer predicts that the First Amendment itself will also become another fatality in the very near future.  When the Nationalist Socialist German Workers Party took control of Germany in 1933, speaking out against the government, or Hitler, earned you a one way ticket to Dauchau.
