Russia to present new helicopters at international MAKS 2003 Air Show

New Russian helicopters will be presented at the international MAKS 2003 Air Show.

Helicopters Ka-226, Ka-32, Ka-60, Ka-31, Ka-52 and Ka-50 will take part in the air show, RIA Novosti learned from the press service of the Kamov company, one of Russia's largest helicopter producers.

The multi-purpose Ka-32A helicopter is able to transport large cargoes weighing up to 5,000 kg. It holds the world record in the flight height, 8,250 meters.

According to experts, combat helicopters Ka-52 (all-weather), Ka-60 ("Kasatka"), Ka-31 (reconnaissance), Ka-27 (shipborne), as well as unpiloted helicopters (the newest development in the helicopter-building industry) will arouse the interest of the foreign business and military circles, as well as spectators. The programme of their presentation includes spectacular group and single flights. All helicopters will also be shown on the ground.
