Police find people involved in governor Tsvetkov's murder

Russian and Armenian law-enforcement bodies have identified a group of people involved in the murder of the Magadan region's governor Valentin Tsvetkov, Russian Interior Minister Boris Gryzlov told journalists in Moscow on Wednesday.

After the crime the offenders, some of whom are Armenians, moved from Russia to Armenia and then on to the United Arab Emirates, the minister pointed out. One member of the group has been already detained and indicted, he said.

The governor of the Magadan region /Russia's Far East/ was killed in the centre of Moscow on October 18, 2002. An unknown individual fired several shots at him from a pistol. Because of the wounds, the governor died on the scene of the tragedy.
