Hong Kong Pet-Shop Lets Customers Rent Dogs

A large pet-shop in the center of Hong Kong made an unusual suggestion to its customers. Danny Tam, the owner of the shop, offered its customers to rent a dog for a week before buying it. As he said, it would be good for people to find out, if they liked a dog or not.

As the businessman believes, such an idea is supposed to increase the number of customers for his shop. In addition to that, it will help to improve the situation with homeless dogs in Hong Kong. Danny Tam said that a lot of irresponsible residents of Hong Kong buy a dog and then get very tired of walking and feeding it. As a result, a lot of dogs become homeless.

It is not known, whether Danny’s idea really helped to improve the situation with homeless dogs, but it worked very well for customers. This novelty appeared in the Hong Kong pet-shop several months ago, and the number of sold puppies increased five times. Ten percent of rented dogs was taken back to the shop.
