Russian, Moldovan Prime Ministers: Bilateral Relations Are At High Level

Russian-Moldovan relations are on the upgrade, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov said opening the meeting with his Moldovan counterpart Vasile Tarlev in Moscow on Thursday. Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin's visit to Moscow gave an extra impulse to Russian-Moldovan relations, Kasyanov said. According to him, serious projects in the economic sphere which were launched during his visit to Chisinau will be completed soon. Mikhail Kasyanov considers the gas agreement to be the most successful project. He has also pointed out a considerable improvement in the trade sphere. Vasile Tarlev has given a high appraisal of Russian-Moldovan relations. Chisinau assigns priority to the relations with Russia, he said. According to him, the absolute majority of the Moldovan "spoke out in favour of the development of bilateral relations in political and economic spheres".
