Security Officials From Countries Participating In Collective Security Treaty To Discuss Anti-terrorist Measures

The key items on the agenda of the 4th session of the Committee of Security Council Secretaries from countries participating in the Collective Security Treaty deal with interaction between CST parties in their struggle against international terrorism in connection with the US military campaign in Afghanistan, and ways of stepping up cooperation and combating drug trafficking, said Vladimir Rushailo, the secretary of Russia's Security Council, upon his arrival in Minsk on Wednesday. According to Rushailo, session participants will also discuss the proposal of their working group to organise an exchange of online information, analyze the measures taken to implement decisions made at the previous sessions, and outline future cooperation. They will also hold a number of bilateral talks and meetings with the top leaders of Belarussian power structures. The two-day session, which opens in Minsk on December 6, has gathered delegations from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan. The program of Rushailo's visit to Minsk also envisages meetings with President Alexander Lukashenko and other top leaders of Belarus.
