Ukraine wants trillion dollars for Crimea and Donbass

Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseny Yatsenyuk evaluated the Crimea and the Donbass at one trillion dollars. That is the amount that the Russian government would have to pay to Ukraine for the so-called "annexation" of the peninsula and supposed "intervention" in the Donbass region, the head of the Ukrainian government believes.

According to Yatsenyuk, Russia would have to answer legally if it does not accept the terms to restructure the Ukrainian debt.

A committee of private creditors agreed to write off 3 billion dollars of debt to Kiev. The Ukrainain government realizes that it has to pay the debt not only to Western creditors, but also to Russia. Should Russia reject the terms to restructure the Ukrainian debt, Ukraine threatens to initiate proceedings against Russia at court.
