Russian government to discuss social aid to victims of Moscow terrorist act

The Thursday session of the Russian government will be dedicated to social aid to victims of the terrorist act in Moscow.

The discussion will focus on medical and social aid to victims' families and rescued hostages, who spent three days without food and drink, in a state of severe stress, told journalists Russian Vice Premier Valentina Matviyenko.

According to her words, comprehensive medical help will be free to anyone who needs it. The former hostages will also be able to recuperate in sanatorium-and-spa institutions - for free. Children hostages, too, will be sent to sanatoriums with their parents' consent.

Matviyenko recalled that the families of victims get 100,000 rubles for every victim, plus 14,200 rubles in funeral expenses. Every former hostage gets 50,000 rubles.
