Man Bites Police Officer's Finger Before Flying to Bangkok

A resident of the city of Ekaterinburg will be put on trial for committing an act of violence against a police officer. The man committed the crime in a state of alcoholic intoxication, Pravda.Ru website said.

The incident took place in October of 2008. The man was waiting for his flight to Thailand from the airport of the city. He got drunk at the airport and lost the company of his friends in the group of other passengers boarding a plane bound to Bangkok.

The drunk tourist caused up a stir near the plane and attracted the attention of the police. A police officer approached the man and asked him to follow him to the station. The man hit the officer on the leg and bit the thumb of his right hand.
