Russia loses five servicemen in combat action with gunmen in Dagestan

Three Russian military men were killed and three others were injured in a special operation in the Republic of Dagestan, Interfax reports.

Other news agencies say that Russia lost five servicemen in battles. “We lost five people during two days of battles: a radio operator of Mi-8 chopper and four commandoes. Two other commandoes were wounded,” Mark Tolchinsky, an official with the Internal Affairs Ministry of Dagestan said.

Russian military men killed from six to nine terrorists, although there is no official information about the losses of the gunmen yet. The special operation continues.

Russia ’s special forces sealed the gunmen in the woods near the settlement of Kakashura. The special operation to destroy the group of terrorists began on March 18, after they attacked Russian military men.
