'Putin knows': Trump asks to leak dirt on Biden’s son

In a recent interview, former US President Donald Trump urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to share information and documents related to Hunter Biden, US President Joe Biden's son. Not too long ago, Trump also urged Russia to dig up compromising information about his political opponents.

In an exclusive interview with John Solomon, a Real America's Voice journalist, the former US president, while speaking about the progress of the Republican Party's 2020 Senate investigation into Joseph and Hunter Biden, lamented that the case had not unveiled anything groundbreaking.

Biden's offspring leaves legacy in Russia

The report alleged that in 2014, a firm linked to Hunter Biden received $3.5 million from Russian businesswoman Elena Baturina, wife of late Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov.

"That's a lot of money," Trump said. "She gave him $3.5 million so now I would think Putin would know the answer to that. I think he should release it."

Hunter Biden's attorney, George Mesiers, denied the allegation. A fact-check on the lawsuit that CNN conducted found that no evidence of Hunter Biden's wrongdoing.

"Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing, I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press," Trump said in a July 2016 news conference.

A little later, Trump admitted that he said that as a joke.

In 2019, Trump faced impeachment for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress after he tried to force Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to conduct investigation into Hunter Biden's role at the administration of Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma.

From 2014 to 2019, when his father Joseph served as Vice President of the United States, Hunter Biden would receive $50,000 a month from Ukrainian gas company Burisma. The funds would be wired to the account of Rosemont Seneca Bohai LLC.

The New York Post reported that Hunter Biden's laptop contained emails indicating that the US president's son assisted a California defense contractor in its biological weapons program at US biolabs in Ukraine.

He allegedly helped Metabiota - a medical company working with Pentagon contractor Black & Veatch on deadly pathogen research - win a multi-million dollar contract with the US government.

Hunter Biden remains under Justice Department investigation into his business activities. The department scrutinizes his tax returns, as well as business dealings with foreign businessmen during his father's tenure as vice president, The New York Times reports.

In particular, Hunter Biden acquired a Fisker Karma sports car for $142,000. Fisker Automotive secured a $529-million loan guarantee from the US Department of Energy to refurbish the abandoned General Motors plant in Wilmington, Delaware, which is a hometown of the Bidens. However, in 2013, having received $192 million in federal loan payments, the firm unexpectedly went bankrupt.
