Russia and China can overcome anything together

China's Xinhua news agency, the mouthpiece of the Chinese Communist Party, has released a detailed and harsh statement about recent information attacks against Russia and China. Such attacks are enthusiastically conducted by bloggers, Western press and liberal media of Russia and Ukraine.

"It has been recently said that China sees no prospects for the economic situation in Russia to improve. It has also been reported that Russia is totally dependent on China, that Sino-Russian trade and economic relations are "rolling downhill", that there is no future for bilateral relations between the two countries, etc," the Chinese central news agency said.

"No one knows where the grounds for such opinions are. Interstate relations can be tested for strength in front of any challenges," the agency added.

Chinese journalists refer to the recent statements from PCR's leader Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov, who believe that the current relations between Russia and China can be described as best in the history of Sino-Russian relations. "It is in fact the best in the history of relations between our countries and our peoples ... There is no other country with which we have such an extensive network of cooperation mechanisms," Lavrov said.

In three years, the cooperation between Russia and China has improved considerably. Official visits and meetings between top officials of the two countries are held on a regular basis, Xinhua said.

The official news agency of China further admits that the Sino-Russian trade turnover has showed an obvious negative trend recently. "However, one does not have to worry about this indicator. It is important to understand that the volume of trade has been decreasing not only between China and Russia. The global economy is experiencing a period of transformation, and international trade continues to decline," Chinese government experts wrote.

The Chinese understand that the Russian economy is suffering from the pressure of Western sanctions and declining oil prices, whereas the Chinese economy is stepping into the period of new reality.

According to China, the biggest achievement of the past years is the pairing of its New Silk Road initiative with Russia-led Eurasian Economic Union.

Russia and China have many plans in the sphere of high technologies, not only in energy and hydrocarbon projects. The two countries cooperate in nuclear energy, space and aircraft industreis, the agency also said.

The Chinese realize that "a friend in need is a friend indeed." Beijing is confident that Russia and China will be able to overcome any problem if they stay together.
