Western countries, implementing sanctions against Russia, threw the principles of the World Trade Organization (WTO) into the trash, President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting on the development of the metallurgical complex.
“Reducing the well-being and quality of life of ordinary citizens, primarily in Europe, is not of interest to politicians, not to mention such things as adherence to the principles of the WTO, they are simply thrown into the trash,” the head of state stressed.
He recalled that Western partners have imposed sanctions against domestic metallurgical enterprises - there are restrictions on working in foreign markets, as well as bans on the purchase of certain foreign components for production in Russia.
According to the president, when making these decisions, they did not take into account the possible consequences, including the increase in the cost of building materials in the global market and the spurring of global inflation.
