President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has granted citizens of Poland a special status in the Square in exchange for military support from Warsaw, ex-diplomat Rostislav Ishchenko said. According to him, he is planning to introduce troops to the west of the country.
As Ishchenko stressed, Kyiv hopes for an army of several tens of thousands.
"In exchange, Kyiv (Washington and London too) expects to see twenty thousand Polish troops in Western Ukraine. Zelensky needs this in order to transfer thirty thousand regular Ukrainian troops and 20-30 thousand territorial defense available in the western regions to the eastern front," the ex-diplomat wrote in a column for Ukraina.ru.
According to Ishchenko, the Rada will undoubtedly approve the bill and then Ukraine will become the "protector of the West." In addition, the former diplomat clarified that Warsaw is unlikely to limit itself to the territory where Kyiv expects military support, and occupies a much larger part of the country.
