US calls on Americans to leave Crimea and Donbass in short order

The US Department of State has called on its citizens to leave the Crimea and Donbass in short order.

The Department got worried about the Americans being in the Crimea, as it doubts the peninsula legitimacy as a constituent entity of Russia.

However, being fully aware of the real situation in the Southern region, the State Department has started to stirring it up. The appeal was published by the US Passports and International Travel site.

Washington warns Americans being currently in Russia about something unclear, and calls the peninsula an "occupied territory".

Besides, the State Department calls on the US citizens to leave Donbass, as well as defer all travel.

The US Embassy's ability to provide consular services, including responding to emergencies, to U.S. citizens in eastern Ukraine and Ukraine's Crimean region is reported to be extremely limited.

'Russia-backed separatists' are reported to threaten Americans. However, no explanation of the "threats" they may pose, are not provided.

"The Government of Ukraine has stated that foreigners, including U.S. citizens, who enter Ukraine from Russia through separatist-controlled territory, will not be allowed through checkpoints into government-controlled territory."

At the same time, many international organizations, including the American ones admit the Crimea as part of the Russian Federation.

American Google also points it as a Russian territory on the maps.

France issued a passport to a man, indicating the Russian city of Sevastopol as his place of birth a year ago.
