Turkish fighter jets invade Greek airspace

On July 15th, a group of six Turkish fighter aircraft entered the airspace of Greece. The planes flew above the central and south-eastern parts of the Aegean Sea.

The Turks have violated the border more than 20 times, Pravda.Ru reports with reference to TASS. Two of the Turkish fighter jets were carrying weapons. According to the Greek Defense Ministry, there was a shoot-out between the Turkish jets and the aircraft of the Greek Air Force.

As a result of the shoot-out, the Turkish planes left the territory of the Greek airspace. No other details of the incident have been reported, Pravda.Ru says with reference to Air News.
