Dmitry Rogozin: If Ukrainian protests are peaceful, Catherine Ashton is a ballerina

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin expressed his anger with the assessment of Ukrainian events by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton. According to him, 75 people have been killed in Kiev, of whom at least 15 are police officers.

"But the head of European diplomacy Catherine Ashton continues to mutter about "the peaceful nature of the protests." If these are peaceful protests, then Ashton is a ballerina," the politician stated.

Earlier, Ashton stated that the EU continued to offer Ukraine to sign the agreement on association and provide support on the path of reforms.

Mass riots resumed in Kiev on Tuesday. At least 77 people were killed, radicals seized a number of government buildings. A sniper appeared on Maidan, who opened fire on riot police. Soon afterwards, Interior Minister of Ukraine Vitaly Zakharchenko ordered to give combat weapons to law enforcers. The same evening, Rada decided to lift the regime of the counter-terrorist operation.
