US-based human rights organization " Foundation for Freedom of Press" invited former intelligence officer Edward Snowden to enter the board of directors of the foundation.
The foundation was created in 2012 to ensure freedom of speech in the United States. Among its co-founders is former employee of the U.S. Department of Defense, Daniel Ellsberg, who exposed a secret Pentagon report about combat actions in Vietnam in 1971, Hollywood actor John Cusack and journalist Glenn Greenwald, who helped Snowden publish secret documents.
