The editors office of Pravda.Ru received an email from an average American citizen that we decided to bring to our readers' attention.
Hello,
My name is Tom Broderick, and I am a citizen of the United States of America.
In recent days I have been reading the news and watching world events unfold.
It has become increasingly clear that there is a great element of distrust between the leaders of my Country and yours. This distrust is increasing as each day passes and I am concerned that it will eventually lead to another "cold" war or even greater.
Some American leaders, for what ever their reasons are, try to capitalize on increasing tensions.
Here in America, regular every day people like myself, find it increasingly difficult to sift through all the political nonsense and understand why there are such tensions between our respective leaders.
We cannot understand why there is not more communication between our political leaders and more cooperation, sharing and understanding. Why can't we all just get along and live our daily lives?
Accordingly, I would like to take this opportunity, as just an average American citizen, to invite the Russian President Vladimir Putin to come to my humble home, share a meal with my family as our honored guest, and show the American people and leaders that he is not a threat to the world, as some would like us to believe.
I live in a typical middle income American development. We are just average working people who struggle daily to make ends meet. However, I am concerned for the future of my two sons and the future of world affairs.
Perhaps a mutual dinner or BBQ, at my home, with a harsh critic like United States Senator John McCain would go a very long way toward cooling off all the political posturing and rhetoric.
It would be a bold, interesting and very positive gesture on behalf of President Putin to visit my home in America. It would certainly show the world a different and positive side of the President.
I would very much appreciate your passing on this invitation to the President.
Thank you very much for your time.
Regards,
Tom Broderick
