The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has purchased 21.6 million of ammunition in addition to 1.6 billion bullets that have been acquired over the past ten months. The reserves will be enough for 30 years of war, Infowars said.
The information was published on FedBid website, which deals with supplying various products to government agencies. The weapons and ammunition is allegedly to be used in the training center for law enforcement officers in Artesia, New Mexico.
In March 2012, it was said that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security would receive not more than 450 million bullets in 4 years. Meanwhile, the amount of ammunition that has already been purchased in ten months considerably exceeds the amounts stated.
In September 2012, the department bought 7,000 rifles, labeling them as "self-defense weapons."
The U.S. authorities are trying to tighten the weapons legislation for ordinary citizens while buying incredible amounts of ammunition for government agencies, Infowars wrote. It is quite possible that the authorities want to be prepared for internal disturbances, which may occur in connection with the issue of illegal immigrants.
