Representatives of the U.S. Consulate in Russia's Vladivostok, told reporters that they would not be taking any action against those who took part in the picket against "U.S.-led aggressive policies against North Korea." America stands for freedom of speech, U.S. officials said.
On Wednesday, February 6th, about twenty people in front of the U.S. consulate in Vladivostok held a rally in support of North Korea. Anti-American slogans were heard during at the rally. Moreover, the picketers trampled on and spat upon the image of the American flag.
The participants protested against U.S. claims that Pyongyang tests ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear or chemical warheads under the guise of peaceful space exploration. The United States thus challenges and provokes North Korea, the authorities of which have already threatened the international community to take more stringent measures.
