USA legalizes gay blood donors

In the United States, homosexual individuals will be allowed to donate blood. The  Food and Drug Administration of the USA has eased the lifetime ban for representatives of sexual minorities to use their blood for blood transfusion operations. 

Previously, homosexual and bisexual males were not allowed to become blood donors. Now gay man are allowed to donate blood one year after their last sexual contact.

The lifetime ban on gay blood donation was introduced in the United States since 1983.
