The new collection of Putin T-shirts with the image of the Russian President became available on August 11. The collection is dedicated to Russia's recent victories on the world arena.
The collection was designed by youth brand Anyavanya. According to designers Anna Yefremova and Ivan Yershov, the idea for designing such T-shirts emerged spontaneously. The designers were inspired with Russia's recent victories in politics and sports. "This is a triumph of the Russian team at the Olympic Games in Sochi, the victory of our team at the Paralympic Games, the reunification of the Crimea with Russia, and Russia's victory in the World Ice Hockey Championship," Anna Yefremova told ITAR-TASS.
According to the designers, there were 15 prints created for the collection. They include the image of the president on horseback, in a military uniform and a portrait of Putin in black sunglasses, supplemented with slogans: "The most courteous of people", "Not Gonna Get Us".
For the first time, the collection of Putin T-shirts was introduced in June of this year. The sales lasted for only three days; as many as 5,000 pieces were sold in the first day of sales.
On August 11, Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke, who is now in Russia, became one of the first owners of a new shirt with the image of the Russian president. When asked, where he was going to wear the shirt, the actor said: "Everywhere. No one tells me what to wear." The actor said that he liked the T-shirt, which he would wear in the USA as well.
All proceeds from the sales of the collection were wired for the treatment of eight-mont-old boy from Sloviansk, Yevgeny Ezikyan. He is being treated at the hospital of the Saint-Petersburg State Pediatric Medical Academy. The story of the little boy, who could not breathe because of the serious illness, shocked the whole of Russia.
