The Invest Session at the III Murmansk International Business Week presented 12 investment projects for the development of municipalities of the Arctic region of Russia.
"Of course, such events are effective and necessary. Without a presentation, it is hard to attract investors, - Igor Rudensky, chairman of the State Duma Committee for Economic Policy, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship told Pravda.Ru. - Usually, it happens in the presence of leaders of regional authorities and local authorities. They support and promote these projects, so that investors, who come to this or that region, could feel comfortable. Large investors tend to be highly sensible to every little drawback. Everything must be arranged well, to take account of the interests of all parties," the specialist said.
The Murmansk government provides information support to all projects. In the region, there is an agency for the support of small and medium-sized businesses; there are programs for the development of small and medium-sized businesses and promotion of innovation, as well as for the development of economic potential.
"Everything that aims to provide support - information, financial, administrative support - should play a positive role for the region that provides this support, - said Igor Rudensky. - These are the aspects that develop investment climate. The authorities that pay such attention to small business, including, in terms of information support, are doing the right job."
