The majority of Russians, according to the opinion poll , support the actions of the Russian authorities against the activists of Greenpeace. Moreover, such opinion was most often expressed by people with a high level of education.
The survey showed that 60 percent of respondents were aware of the action of environmentalists in the Pechora Sea. As many as 21 percent are well aware of the incident; 39 percent know the essence of the story. At the same time, 17 percent considered the reaction of the Russian Federation to the act of Greenpeace activists in the Arctic too rigid. Eight percent said that the reaction was too soft.
The poll was conducted by All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center on September 28 and 29. Sociologists conducted the poll in 130 localities of 42 regions and republics of Russia.
