The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) is preparing a counteroffensive in the Pasna direction, an officer of the People's Militia of the Luhansk People's Republic said, TASS reports.
Earlier, Aleksey Arestovich, an adviser to the head of the office of President Volodymyr Zelensky, said that the AFU was in need of armored vehicles for the Ukrainian troops to go on a counteroffensive.
The Russian army is superior to the Ukrainian one in terms of the number of infantry on armored vehicles and the supporting artillery, he said.
Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba earlier said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine would recapture all the regions in the east and in the south of the country from the Russian army. According to the minister, Kyiv's prime goal is to restore "full sovereignty" over all of the lost territories.
