Protests rock Kiev again. People brought car tires to the building of the Ukrainian Parliament, the Verkhovna Rada. Activists of the nationalist movement Right Sector, Automaidan and Freedom Party decided to remind MPs about the adoption of the law "On the cleansing of power."
About five hundred nationalists gathered near the parliament building for the rally, ITAR-TASS reports. The activists believe that no ratification of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union can eclipse the need for a law on lustration. If MPs do not vote for the law on lustration, the protesters at the walls of the Ukrainian parliament threaten to show them what lustration by people is.
The protesters attempted to move closer to the Parliament, but the attempt failed. The people on Constitution Square in front of the Rada continuously chant the word "Lustration."
In the course of the rally, the radicals pushed deputy Vitaly Zhuravsky into a garbage container. Three men grabbed the official, and, even though he was saying that he was on duty, the men pushed the official into the container, shut the lid, and then left.
Shortly before the incident, during the meeting of the Ukrainian parliament devoted to the ratification of the Association Agreement with the EU, MPs were declaring pretentious statements about the need to "respect European values" and about "Ukraine's unbreakable aspiration to move to Europe."
Noteworthy, Vitaly Zhuravsky is a Doctor of Political and Legal Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Political Sciences. He is the author of over 200 scientific research works and six books.
