The airplane of Air Algerie plane crashed on the territory of Niger, Algerian television reports.
All crew members of the missing aircraft of Air Algerie - 2 pilots and 4 members of the crew - are citizens of Spain. The McDonnell Douglas aircraft took off today, July 24, from Burkina Faso to Algeria.
No contact has been established with the aircraft yet. On the plane, there were 110 passengers, 2 pilots and 4 members of the crew. Experts are now trying to find out the fate of the airliner, ITAR-TASS reports with reference to Swiftiar airline that chartered the missing plane.
The contact with the aircraft was lost this morning, when the airplane was flying over the north of Mali, near the border with Algeria. Swiftair is a privately owned airline founded in 1986. It started working with passenger transportation in 2002. The airline has more than 30 aircraft, including Boeing jetliners.
There were 80 French citizens on board the missing aircraft. The plane crashed near the capital of Niger because of a thunderstorm.
