The sale of alcohol has been prohibited on the territory of all towns and settlements that suffered from massive floods in the Far East of Russia. As part of the procedure to observe regulations of the state of emergency, law enforcement officers have taken ex-convicts and other individuals prone to theft under special control.
The floods that started in the Far East in July have affected the Jewish Autonomous Region, the Khabarovsk, Amur, Magadan and Chelyabinsk regions, as well as the republic of Bashkiria.
