Batches of fresh-frozen fish from Norway, Scotland, Spain and the United States were prevented from being imported into the territory of Russia.
According to the report from the Russian Federal Service for Agricultural Control, a large batch of frozen fish was to be smuggled via the Crimean peninsula. The batch weighing 17 tons arrived from the Kiev region of Ukraine, addressed to a private entrepreneur in Simferopol.
An inspection of documents showed that the fish imported from Ukraine was made in the USA, Norway, Spain and Scotland, thus violating Russia's embargo on food supplies from Europe and the USA.
Further transportation of the fish was stopped, and the batch was returned to the territory of Ukraine.
