The secretary general of the United Nations Organization (UN), Ban Ki-moon, will attend the 16th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) to be held in Tehran, the Iranian capital.
The spokesman for public relations and Communications for the 16th NAM summit, Mohamad Reza Forqani, confirmed on Monday the presence of the highest authority of the UN at the summit in Tehran, a decision that has frustrated the pressures and demands of the Persian country's enemies to Ban Ki-moon to not participate in this meaningful event.
Previously, the U.S. and the Israeli regimes had urged the UN secretary general to refrain from attending the meeting of NAM and had even termed Ban's possible trip to Tehran a "big mistake."
Nearly one hundred members of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) have indicated their willingness to take part in the 16th Summit of this entity which will run from the 26th to the 31st of the current month.
Will it make any difference?
