Al-Assad insists terrorists will be rooted out of Syria

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, said Wednesday that anyone who fights against the nation and the Syrian government will be annihilated, in stating that, in the near future, the Arab country will be clean of terrorists.

During an interview with the news agency Syria Now, Al-Assad said that they have already finished the strategic period of concern, and there is no power on earth that can break the strength of the Syrian Army.

He also reaffirmed that the crisis in the country should be resolved through dialogue, stressing that the government welcomes anyone who displays their willingness to hold such dialogues.

Bashar al-Asad has also asserted that the enemies of Syria and the terrorists think they can lead the world, when, in fact, have already reached the end of their path.

The forces of the Syrian Army are increasingly developing cleansing operations in various parts of the territory, to destroy terrorist groups who are perpetrators of the riots and violence engulfing the country.

For over two years, Syria has been the scene of riots perpetrated by terrorists, financed and directed from abroad, in order to overthrow the government in Damascus and facilitating foreign intervention in the Arab country.

The violence has left a large number of deaths, many of them civilians and members of security forces.

A number of armed terrorist groups' leaders confessed to planning and implementing a large number of terrorist bombings which targeted residential areas and public and military institutions.

They divulged the role of al-Jazeera and al-Arabia Satellite Channels in what is taking place in Syria through fabricating and falsifying the facts with the aim of igniting sedition in Syria.

The leaders of terrorist groups said that Istanbul Council's members supplied them with money from Gulf countries, particularly Qatar and Saudi Arabia, Turkey and from the opposition abroad to form battalions and brigades to be included under the command of the so-called Free "Syrian" Army.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Seyyed Ali Khamenei, said that contrary to its claims, the United States supports terrorists who kill innocents in Syria and Iraq, while US drones murder women and children in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

"The US and all who pretend to call for the human rights remain silent over killing the innocents in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria.. But they became furious after a number of explosions in the US," Khamenei said during a meeting with a number of officers and families on the eve of the Iranian Army day.
