U.S. Military Violate Islamic Rules by Searching Iraqi Women

The US military force Iraqi women to lift their dresses while searching them at the roadblocks, which is a blatant violation of Islamic rules, witnesses from the Iraqi town of Al-Nasiriya told Qatar's Al-Jazeera TV channel.

According to their words, locals regard this behavior as an insult to their religious feelings. Islam forbids women to even communicate with male strangers.

In the meantime, the top brass of the British-US forces say it is a "forced measure" introduced with the purpose of exposing women suicide bombers.

On Friday, two Iraqi women bombers blew themselves up at a roadblock outside Baghdad, killing three US soldiers nearby.
