Soccer: The Draw

We present the draw for the Champions League (next round on February 12/13 and 19/20) and the Europa League (February 14 and March 7) and analyse their current form, seeing where the teams are positioned today in their national championships. Pride of place in the Champions League goes to Manchester United v. Real Madrid, a dual of titans.

There are no Russian clubs in the Champions League, however, there are three in the Europa League: Zenit Saint Petersburg, Anzhi Makhachkala and Rubin Kazan. Zenit faces Liverpool FC, and then if they pass to the last 16, the winner of Basel/Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk; Anzhi have Hannover 96 and if successful, the winner of Newcastle/Metalist Kharkiv; Rubin get Atlético Madrid and then the winner of Levante/Olympiacos.
