How a game was postponed for 20 hours due to a waterlogged pitch in a stadium with total roof coverage defies logic. This must go down in history. However the delay served its purpose, it took the wind out of England's sails and Poland earned a home draw against the country where a million of its citizens flocked to work...some of them.

This was the result of the idiotic planning which saw a stadium will full roof coverage getting waterlogged and flooded, meaning the pitch was unfit for play and meaning that thousand of travelling fans missed their match, and also the compensation promised by the Polish Football Association, because in the torrential rain many tickets disintegrated.
One asks again: How do you get a match rained off in a covered stadium?
