Ronaldo set for England

It is confirmed: Ronaldo is going to England to improve his skills and work hard to make his contribution to his profession and hopefully present his skills to a new team. These are his objectives. That could be the football-speak introduction to a new career for Ronaldo as he plans to jet into London and make England's cloudy skies and humid climate his home for the immediate future.

Not the Cristiano version, the Brazilian one, the original Ronaldinho (little Ronald) who became Ronaldão (big Ronald) and who went into the area of marketing and advertising, setting up his own firm in 2011 when he retired as a soccer player. Now 36, Ronaldo has requested and received a work placement with advertising specialist Sir Martin Sorrell, with whom he will be studying. In an interview with the Daily Mail, the former Brazil striker declared that he is eager to get back into studying after 18 years as a soccer player and reveals a burning desire to throw himself into his new passion.

Back to soccer, and the transfer window.

Lampard to leave Chelsea? Possibly, with the London club reticent to commit itself to its 34-year-old midfielder and with Marouane Fellaini lined up as a replacement from Everton at the end of the season, according to chatter, 9 years Lampard's junior, then... However, Lampard could shore up Manchester United's midfield, according to some, since Sir Alex Ferguson is interested in an experienced player. And Old Trafford is no stranger to Golden Oldies (Sir Alex says Giggs still has one or two more years in him at the top level).

Real Madrid midfield player Luka Modric is said to be unsettled in Spain and is looking for a move back to the Premier League after leaving Tottenham Hotspur. Manchester City and Chelsea FC are in the chase.
