The country's first lady will inspect the children's camp and will talk to the children holidaying there, among whom are some from Russian districts hit by the recent floods.

The all-Russian children's centre Orlyonok is situated on the Black Sea coast and covers an area of 244 hectares. At present, 2,300 children from 86 regions of Russia are resting there.

The congress of young citizens "Russia Needs Me" is currently being held at the camp. Its aim is to develop public children's and youth organizations in the interests of the younger generation.

President Vladimir Putin has sent a welcoming message to its participants on the day the congress opened, in which he noted that the country's future in many respects depends upon the younger generation.
