There will be no new group of Peace Corps Volunteers coming to Russia this year. This is according to the statement made on air during a Radio Moscow program by the head of the Moscow office of the Peace Corps.

This year, half of the Peace Corps volunteers were denied entrance visas without explanation. The 34 volunteers whose visas have been extended are expected to continue their work as usual. The rest will have to fly home or go some place else.
