Kamchatka Scientists to Present Their Projects at International Saloon of Innovations in Moscow

For the first time, Kamchatka's scientists will participate in the Moscow International Saloon of Innovations and Investments due to open on Tuesday at the All-Russian Exhibition Center in Moscow, the press-service of Kamchatka's administration reports. Kamchatka is a peninsula in the Okhotsk Sea.

Kamchatka's six research and manufacturing enterprises will present 13 projects, including author's ones. Among them is an unparalleled joint project of Kamchatka's institutes of volcanology, volcanic geology and geochemistry and the Institute of Cosmophysical Research, which gives a short-term forecast of earthquakes.

Specialists from Japan, Chile and other countries whose air traffic is vulnerable to active volcanoes have already taken interest in the joint project of Kamchatka's experimental-methodical seismological party and Ancoridge specialists on flight safety in areas of volcanic gas emissions and ashfall.

Specialists are likely to be interested in an acoustic crab finder which does not use sonar transmitters and therefore cannot harm crab habitat, as well as a unique treatment and preventive medication called Parapel prepared from balneologic extracts of Lake Utinoye in the Paratun health resort.
